Bad weather did not deter a 35-year-old supporter of Anna Hazare from cycling all the way from bordering Karnataka to visit the Gandhian’s village as a tribute.

M Mahesh, entered Padmavati ‘Bhakta Nivas,’ where Hazare is put up, on his cycle cart displaying the social activist’s poster with the line “I salute Anna.”

“Justice Santosh Hegde (a key member of Team Anna) flagged me off from Bangalore on August 17 appreciating the one—man mission to Ralegan to spread the message of Hazare,” Mr. Mahesh said.

When asked what prompted him to undertake the journey, he said “Anger against corrupt ministers and pride of Anna’s selfless crusade.”
