Karnataka districts suffer in scorching heat

Severe heat wave conditions in Hyderabad-Karnataka and Bombay-Karnataka region continued without any respite with Kalaburagi and Bidar recording the state’s highest maximum temperature of 41.5 degree Celsius each according to India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) observations recorded at 8.30 a.m. on Sunday.

The maximum temperature recorded by Bidar was 3 degree Celsius more than the temperature recorded last year on the same day.  Raichur recorded the maximum temperature of 40.5 degree Celsius.

The night temperatures also continued to be oppressive in the Hyderabad-Karnataka region with Bidar recording the minimum temperature of 29 degree Celsius. Raichur and Kalaburagi recorded a minimum temperature of 28 degree Celsius and 27 degree Celsius respectively.

Ballari recorded a maximum temperature of 39 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature recorded was 20.5 degree Celsius.

Vijayapura in Bombay-Karnataka region recorded a maximum temperature of 35.5 degree Celsius and a minimum temperature of 20.5 degree Celsius. Koppal recorded a maximum temperature of 36 degree Celsius and a minimum temperature of 25 degree Celsius. Gadag in Bombay Karnataka region recorded a maximum temperature of 35.2 degree Celsius and a minimum temperature of 23.6 degree Celsius.
