The Kannada Sahitya Parishat has decided to utilise digital tools to promote the 81st Kannada Sahitya Sammelan planned at Shravanabelagola in February.
The information technology committee of the sammelan has created a Facebook page in Kannada (https://www.facebook.com/abkss2015) to keep followers updated about the event.
Mobile app
The reception committee, which met here on Sunday, approved developing a mobile application for Android phones.
Arkalgud Jayakumar, convener of the committee, said the app would help participants get information about the event, facilities for delegates, and details on tourist attractions near Shravanabelgola.
The organisers have also decided to launch a toll-free helpline for the benefit of participants.
