Kalasa Banduri: govt. to seek interim award

November 23, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:39 am IST - HOLE ALUR (GADAG DISTRICT):

On the long-pending Kalasa Banduri issue, the Chief Minister said that the government had discussed the issue with senior counsel Fali S. Nariman and an application seeking an interim award would be filed within a couple of days. He said that while one option was to apply for an interim award, another was to resort to negotiations.

He said he had agreed to taking an all-party delegation to meet the Goa Chief Minister and Opposition leaders.

Power generation

Mr. Siddaramaiah said that the State government would add another 2,300 MW of power to the existing power output by March 2016.

It was trying to sort out the problem with regard to securing a transmission corridor, he said.

Regarding the demand by the former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa for White Paper on the State’s financial health, Mr. Siddaramaiah said that Mr. Yeddyurappa seemed to have developed a fascination for White Paper.

“I have already given the details on the financial position in the legislature session itself. What more is required,” the Chief Minister asked.
