Several parts of Hyderabad Karnataka, Bombay Karnataka and Central Karnataka districts continued to reel under severe heat wave spells, as per observations recorded by the Meteorological Department at 8.30 a.m. on Thursday.
The State’s highest maximum temperature of 39 degrees Celsius, recorded in Kalaburagi, was the highest maximum temperature in February, followed by Vijayapura and Ballari with maximum temperature of 38 degrees Celsius each.
The maximum temperature recorded in Kalaburagi was 4 degrees Celsius more than the temperature recorded on the same day last year. In Vijayapura and Ballari, it was 3 degrees Celsius more than last year’s temperature. Whereas Belagavi Airport, Bagalkot, Haveri, Koppal and Raichur recorded an identical maximum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius. Gadag and Dharwad recorded a maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius.
