Judicial custody of Reddys extended till Oct. 3

A special CBI court on Monday extended the judicial custody till October 3 of former Karnataka Minister Gali Janardhana Reddy and MD of Obulapuram Mining Corporation, B V Srinivas Reddy in connection with an illegal mining case.

Both of them were on Monday produced before the special judge after six days of custodial interrogation by the CBI. The special court had sanctioned six days of custody on September 13.

After they were produced in the court today at 10.30 am, the special judge sent them to judicial remand till October 3.

They were later taken to Chanchalguda Central Prison here.

Both of them were arrested by the CBI at Bellary in Karnataka on September 5.
