: Bharatiya Janata Party State unit president Pralhad Joshi on Tuesday criticised Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for his recent remarks on the party’s national president Amit Shah.

Speaking at a function to celebrate the 152nd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand here, he said Congress leaders in the State had lost their senses when they said Mr. Shah was absolved in a fake encounter case with the blessings of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). He said Mr. Shah got justice from a court, and not from the CBI.

Performance

“The Opposition need not say much on the functioning and performance of the Congress government under Mr. Siddaramaiah. Speaker Kagodu Timmappa’s remarks were sufficient for them to have some introspection,” Mr. Joshi said.

Yuva Morcha national president Anurag Thakur, Suresh C. Angadi, MP, Sanjay B. Patil, MLA, and Abhay B. Patil, were present.
