Refuting the theory that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was destabilising the Congress–Janata Dal (Secular) coalition government, the party on Saturday said the government would fall because of its own mistakes and internal bickering.
Addressing reporters, legislators N. Ravikumar, Ayanur Manjunath, and Renukacharya, and party spokesperson Ashwathanarayan said both the Congress and the Janata Dal (Secular) joined hands in an inevitable situation. Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy was levelling allegation in a state of desperation, they said.
Reacting to Mr. Kumaraswamy’s allegation of the BJP using “kingpins” to destabilise the government, Mr. Ravikumar said if the Chief Minister had any evidence, he should act against those “kingpins”.
“The three-month-old government is yet to take off. It is still embroiled in the confusions over accumulating funds to meet the burden of farm loan waiver,” said Mr. Ravikumar.
