Hundreds of youth thronged a job fair, organised by the Janaspandana Trust, in Kuvempunagar on Tuesday.

Among the over 50 companies represented at the fair were TVS, HCL Technologies, Eureka Forbes, Vasan Eye Care, Hinduja Global Solutions, Automotive Axles Limited, Thought Focus Technologies and Dr. Reddy's Foundation. Inaugurating the programme Mr. V. Srinivas Prasad, Revenue Minister and District in-charge Minister, said there were plenty of job opportunities now.

Students with degrees and eagerness to work are sure to get a job now, unlike some thirty years ago when even graduates had to struggle to get a job in government or private sector. Mr. M. K. Somashekar, MLA said the Trust has been conducting the job mela for the past 10 years and had provided jobs to over 8500 youth so far.
