How many Kannada books do you have?

In a novel move to promote reading of Kannada books among schoolchildren, Pustaka Odu Balaga (an association of book readers) in Mysuru has come up with a unique competition for children who have a good collection of Kannada books at their homes. ‘Children’s Kannada books’ collection competition’ will be held on December 21 for high school students of Mysuru city.

How to participate

Children having at least 50 Kannada books at their homes can participate. Priority will be given to collections of books on science, freedom struggle, technology, moral stories, etc.

Children will get additional marks for a good display of books. Only Kannada books will be considered.

Only one child can participate from each household and participants should register through their schools. Last date for applying is November 28. Eminent writers H.S. Venkateshmurthy and Jayanth Kaikini will be judges.
