April 05, 2013 10:32 am | Updated 10:32 am IST - Bangalore:

The Karnataka High Court on Thursday ordered issue of notices to Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) president Anil Kumble and secretary Javagal Srinath in a contempt of court petition alleging that they failed to adhere to certain commitments made before the court with regard to labour disputes.

A Division Bench comprising Justice N.K. Patil and Justice C.R. Kumaraswamy passed the order in the petition filed by seven workmen of KSCA Club House and their union.

In the petition, employee Thimmegowda and six others claimed that the KSCA failed to honour its commitment made in the agreement, for settling disputes on employment and wages, reached between them and the KSCA management in March 2012 and submitted to a single judge bench of the High Court.
