Heat wave: 41.5 degrees recorded in Kalaburagi

Severe heat wave conditions in Hyderabad-Karnataka and Bombay Karnataka region continued without any respite with Kalaburagi recording the state’s highest maximum temperature of 41.5 degree Celsius, which is 2 degree Celsius more than the temperature recorded on the same day last year according to the observations by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) at 8.30 a.m. on Thursday.

While Raichur and Bidar continued to reel under a severe spell of the heat wave, with Raichur recording the maximum temperature of 40.4 degree Celsius and Bidar recording the maximum temperature of 39 degree Celsius.

The night temperatures also continued to be oppressive in the Hyderabad Karnataka region with Raichur recording the highest minimum temperature of 28.4 degree Celsius followed by Kalaburagi recording a minimum temperature of 27.5 degree Celsius and Bidar recorded the minimum temperature of 26 degree Celsius.

Vijayapura in Bombay Karnataka region recorded a maximum temperature of 38 degree Celsius. Koppal recorded a maximum temperature of 35 degree Celsius and Gadag recorded a maximum temperature of 34 degree Celsius.

Ballari recorded the maximum temperature of 36 degree Celsius and minimum temperature of 23.5 degree Celsius.
