HDK takes exception to ED move

The former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has taken exception to senior Congress leader D.K. Shivakumar being summoned by the Enforcement Directorate for questioning on Gowri–Ganesha festival day on Monday.

Referring to Mr. Shivakumar’s statement that the ED had declined his request to put off the questioning process by a day to allow him to celebrate the festival, Mr. Kumaraswamy wondered in a tweet if this was not vindictive attitude.

“Gowri–Ganesha is an important festival for Hindus. Mr. @DKShivakumar had asked for a day to observe the festival. However, ED officials denied him even this. If this is not vindictive attitude, then what is?” the former Chief Minister tweeted.
