Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Ministers to expedite granting of special category status to Andhra Pradesh and fulfil other assurances in the AP Reorganisation Act. Speaking to reporters in Delhi, he said the Centre had been requested to provide financial support to build the new capital, bridge non-plan revenue gap, provide special development package and to sanction an additional Rs. 1,330 crore for rebuilding infrastructure after Cyclone Hudhud.
