Chief Minister Siddaramaiah told The Hindu on Monday that the government has not taken a decision on the Karnataka Lokayukta’s request to order a probe into the alleged bribery scandal in its office.
The Lokayukta had written to the State government to conduct a probe by the Special Investigation Team into the alleged scandal.
“Now, the State legislature session is on. We will take an appropriate decision on the matter in a few days,” he said.
Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister T.B. Jayachandra told The Hindu that the Lokayukta issue had not been discussed so far.
The government was more bothered about solving sugarcane growers’ problems, he said.
