Fire breaks out in stationery shop

In a fire that broke out in a stationery shop at Holenarsipur on Thursday, stationery items worth nearly Rs. 5 lakh was reduced to ashes. Vidyarthi Bhandar, a shop that belonged to Ananth Kumar and located in front of the Town Municipal Council office, caught fire at around 4.30 a.m.

However, the fire was first noticed by the police on night rounds. The police ipersonnel mmediately called the fire tenders.

Mr. Kumar has filed a complaint with the Holenarsipur Town police. In his complaint, he has alleged that some miscreants might have set the shop on fire. A case has been registered.
