After reclaiming lands worth crores of rupees in the recent drives, the MUDA is going for a land audit for the identification of lands that were encroached upon and reclaim their possession.
The MUDA has claimed that some of its properties could be in possession of individuals and they need to be reclaimed for layout formation in the city.
In this connection, the MUDA has set aside ₹1 crore in its recent budget towards the cost incurred for the land audit. It plans to take the help of surveyors, survey supervisors and other retired officers. It is confident of reclaiming lands worth several crores of rupees after the audit.
