Elephants spotted in Mallasandra tank

Three elephants were spotted in the Mallasandra tank in Tumkur taluk in the district on Sunday.

One tusker and two calves which were seen in the Lakshmanasandra tank on Saturday have now moved to the Mallasandra tank.

The elephants entered Tumkur district on March 5 after separating from a herd at Gondihalli in Nelamangala taluk in Bangalore Rural district.

The Forest Department personnel are trying to drive them back to the Bannerghatta National Park.
