Elephant herd splits into two groups

The herd of nine elephants spotted on Tuesday has now split into two groups. One of them has moved to Mallasandra tank and the other to Adlapura in Tumkur district. Two tuskers were spotted in Mallasandra tank and the remaining seven elephants, including two calves, are in Adlapura, Range Forest Officer Narasimhamurthy said.
