Efforts will be made to encourage discussion on issues relating to North Karnataka, Legislative Council Chairman Basavaraj S. Horatti said in Belagavi on Monday.
He told presspersons after visiting the Suvarna Soudha that he would request members of the business advisory council to include North Karnataka-centric issues in the agenda.
“We would also urge members and Ministers to pick issues relating to the region,” he said.
According to him, the session would last 10 days, starting from December 10. Speaker Ramesh Kumar said that efforts were being made to extend the session by one day.
The two leaders instructed officials to make all arrangements for the smooth functioning of the winter session of the legislature.
Deputy Commissioner S.B. Bommanahalli, Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer R. Ramachandran, Police Commissioner D.C. Rajappa, Dharwad Deputy Commissioner Deepa Cholan and others were present.
