Driver killed as lorries collide in Karnataka’s Chitradurga district

The accident occurred on NH 4.

The driver of a container lorry was killed on the spot and the cleaner sustained injuries after a container lorry rammed into another stationary container lorry near Kyadigere of Chitradurga district in the early hours of Tuesday.

According to the police, identities of the deceased driver and the cleaner, who was injured, are yet to be identified. The cleaner has been shifted to Chitradurga district government hospital.

The accident occurred when the container lorry proceeding on NH 4 rammed into another container lorry which was parked on the roadside.

Chitradurga rural police have registered a case in this regard.
