Home Minister G. Parameshwara appealed people not to disturb order and damage public property in anger following murder of Bharatiya Janata Party worker Raju.

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the inauguration of the new police station here on Monday, Mr. Parameshwara said the murder was being investigated by the Central Crime Branch police of the Mysuru Police Commissionerate. Senior police officials have rushed to the spot.

Mr. Parameshwara said he was saddened to hear of the murder of Raju by a group in Udayagiri in Mysuru. The police were working hard to catch the persons behind this murder. “This incident should not be politicised. People should not take law into their hands and damage public property.” He said police will not only catch persons involved in the murder but also those who are causing damage to pubic property.
