Many teacher aspirants who took the recruitment test by the Department of Public Instruction are anxious. They have alleged several discrepancies in the list of selected candidates put out by the department.

A candidate said although his name did not figure on the list, he received messages saying that he was selected.

Some candidates who had not cleared all papers too received remarks that they are eligible for document verification. In another instance, although it is necessary for candidates to have an aggregate of 50% in certain examinations, candidates who secured less than this also were declared eligible for document verification. Teacher aspirants also pointed out that on the list, some names have been repeated twice.

Candidates who passed the Teachers Eligibility Test can to appear for the exam. Based on this, the department announces another list of shortlisted candidates.“While correcting the data of this, some other errors crept in. We have delinked the list from the website and a verified list will be uploaded later this week,” officials said.
