Development works worth Rs. 10 crore initiated in Gadag

Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister H.K. Patil on Sunday initiated development works worth Rs. 10 crore in various villages of Gadag taluk and also inaugurated an AYUSH hospital, built at a cost of Rs. 15 lakh, in Antur-Bentur.

Rs. 10 crore works include laying of all-weather roads, tank development, as well as construction of community halls. Mr. Patil laid the foundation stone for these projects.

Listing out the various measures initiated by the State government, Mr. Patil said that the government was committed to the development of rural infrastructure and providing basic amenities to the people in rural areas. “Various schemes have been implemented for improving the living standards of people by providing them the requisite health care and educational facilities,” he said.

The Minister called on the people to make use of the government schemes to improve their standard of life and also get facilities for their respective villages.

Various elected representatives and officials were present on the occasion.

An all-weather road between Kalasapur tanda and Adavi Somapur (3.36 km) and from Kalasapur to Adavi Somapur Tanda (4.69 km) is being laid at a cost of Rs. 6 crore.

The works include development of a lake in Yalishirur village at Rs. 17 lakh and construction of a community hall at a cost of Rs. 40 lakh among others.
