‘Deve Gowda, Siddaramaiah should feel ashamed’

Ravikumar, BJP general secretary and MLC, has criticised the former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda and the former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah who were bitter foes once and now coming together only to keep BJP State president B.S. Yeddyurappa away from coming to power.

“I would have agreed if the two had come together for building the nation and development of the State. But these two have come together to keep the BJP and Mr. Yeddyurappa from coming to power. They should feel ashamed,” he said, while talking to presspersons here on Sunday.

He also took a dig at the Congress seeking to know the contribution of BJP MLA B. Sriramulu for the development of the district. He said that people know about the development work that was turned out during the tenure of the BJP and it was only during that period that much development could take place in North Karnataka and Hyderabad-Karnatak region.

The Congress is a divided house with Ministers pulling in different directions and all attempts are being made to snub the growth of Dalits and other backward classes, he said.

Mr. Yeddyurappa, K.S. Eshwarappa, C.T. Ravi, Shobha Karandlaje are among other party leaders who will address election meetings in the district from October 25, Mrutyunjaya Jinaga, former MLC, said.

MLA G. Somashekar Reddy spoke.
