To our query: Could Royal Challengers Bangalore have made it to the top four teams of the IPL tournament without pinch-hitter Chris Gayle? Shoaib Shaikh writes:

In every IPL tournament, there is one star batsman who stands out. This time, it happened to be Chris Gayle for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. He batted very well as there was no pressure on him. RCB could perhaps not have made it to the semi-finals without Gayle. It was only after he entered the tournament that RCB had a winning streak. He contributed in all matches, except two, and those were the times when RCB lost. This clearly shows that the team greatly depended on him.

Our question this fortnight: Did the Centre bungle in handling the anti-corruption agitation by Baba Ramdev or was the police action at Ramlila Maidan warranted?
