Members of the Belagavi chapter of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI), as part of its nationwide programme, took out a silent march protesting against the “corrupt and inefficient system” which allegedly forced Suraj Parmar of Cosmos Group to commit suicide recently.
CREDAI’s Belagavi president Qais Noorani and Secretary Deepak Gojgekar, who led the protest from Rani Chennamma circle to D.C. Office, said Suraj Parmar sacrificed his life while fighting a corrupt and inefficient system. He was one of the prominent names in the real estate in Thane region of Maharashtra and had delivered a good number of landmark buildings across Mumbai and Thane region.
As a mark of respect and to pay tributes to their fellow developer, CREDAI members in Belagavi city kept their offices closed and did not take up construction work for the day.
