Cow’s carcass creates panic among people in village

June 04, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:57 am IST - Chikkamagaluru:

Residents of Kaimara, near here, were shocked on Wednesday morning when they saw the carcass of a cow, allegedly killed by a wild animal in their village. People are apprehensive that it might be an act of a tiger, as a few residents had noticed a tiger roaming about in the locality a few days ago and had brought the incident to the notice of the Forest Department.

Meanwhile, the Forest Department officials have arrived at the spot. M.S. Manik, Deputy Conservator of Forests, told The Hindu here on Wednesday that he was not sure if it was an act of a tiger.
