COVID-19: Karnataka reports 197 new cases, one death

Karnataka on Tuesday reported 197 new cases taking the day’s Test Positivity Rate (TPR) to 1.11%. The weekly TPR touched 1.02% and the total number of cases touched 39,52,102.

Of the new cases, 178 have been reported from Bengaluru Urban alone.

With one death, the State’s toll remained 40,065. Besides, 42 deaths of patients due to non-COVID-19 reasons have also been recorded.

As many as 273 persons were discharged on Tuesday taking the total recoveries to 39,09,966.  Active cases touched 2,029.

As many as 17,716 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, including 11,957 RT-PCR tests. With this, the total number of tests rose to 6,63,61,624.
