The Special Lokayukta Court on Saturday issued summons to the former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa, his sons B.Y. Vijayendra and B.Y. Raghavendra, son-in-law R.N. Sohan Kumar and the former Minister S.N. Krishnaiah Setty in connection with a private complaint alleging illegal denotification of land.

With this, the trial is set to begin on March 3 in the first of the private complaints filed by advocate Sirajin Basha. The complaint was filed in the Special Lokayukta court on January 22, 2011.

The court handed over the inquiry into the case to Lokayukta police under Section 202 of the Code of Criminal Procedure on March 24.

Following this, a 1,500-page inquiry report was submitted to the court in October, saying that the allegations were proved in two instances related to illegal denotification of land, while they could not be proved in connection with the amalgamation of public road in Nagawara Layout.
