Congress leaders giving misleading information, says Tippareddy

May 31, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:58 am IST - CHITRADURGA:

Though the Union government is planning to launch several policies for the common man, Congress leaders are trying to tarnish the image of the government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi by giving wrong information to the people, MLA G.H. Tippareddy has alleged.

Speaking after inaugurating road work from Santhepeth to Akka Mahadevi Samaj here on Saturday, he said that Congress leaders were spreading wrong information about the Land Acquisition Bill.

He said that the bill was in force during the UPA government and the BJP government was trying to bring some amendments to it. “The Congress leaders are projecting as if the BJP is introducing a new bill,” he alleged.

Instead of trying to create hurdles for development work, Congress leaders should cooperate in the overall development of the nation.

He also informed that a delegation would be taken to Union Ministers and MPs of the BJP to convince them on the importance of taking up the project as early as possible, he said.

He also demanded that the State government cooperate with the Centre to complete the project by paying its 50 per cent share.

Congress leaders should pressure Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to release the required funds for the project at the earliest, Mr. Tippareddy added
