Karnataka State BJP president B.S. Yeddyurappa has said that the Congress was “misleading” people over his visit to Dalit houses for breakfast during his drought study tour.

Addressing presspersons after a breakfast at a slum in Bagalkot on Monday, he said the Chief Minister had failed to tackle drought and was spreading false information about the breakfast served to him during his visit to a Dalit family in Chitradurga district.

He claimed that contrary to reports, the family had prepared limited food and brought hotel food only to meet the additional requirement.

The BJP media cell on Monday released two videos of those who hosted the leaders in Tumakuru and Chitradurga, who claimed that Mr. Yeddyurappa did eat the food cooked in their houses.

Both claimed that they had ordered food from outside for others who came visiting along with the leaders.
