Complete Yethinahole in five years: H.D. Kumaraswamy


Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly H.D. Kumaraswamy on Wednesday urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to complete the Yethinahole drinking water project in five years, to show that he was sincere in helping farmers of Tumkur, Kolar, Chickballapur and Bangalore Rural districts.

He also made some suggestions which included: holding an inquiry into irregularities in the organic farming mission; starting units for processing value-added products of tomato, potato, mango and coconut, so that farmers do not incur losses due to wastage; and encourage group farming and to bring in Central funds for developing infrastructure in Bangalore and Mysore.

He underlined the need to educate legislators on fiscal discipline.
