CII to host Higher Education Summit

To be held in Mysuru on March 15, 16

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organising a Higher Education Summit in Mysuru on March 15 and 16. The theme of the summit, to take place at Hotel Radisson Blu, will be “Innovation in Education for a Competent Industry”.

C.N.R. Rao, who is also the Honorary President of Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, will deliver the keynote address at the summit while Managing Director of Excelsoft Technologies Sudhanva will chair the summit.

“The summit will deliberate on the role of innovation in various verticals of the education sector, changes required in the education delivery system and the kind of policy support expected while factoring the industry perspective”, said a press statement from CII, Mysuru.

The summit will have four broad sessions – Innovation in Higher Education; Changes in Policy and Education Delivery Infrastructure; Science: Engineering, Technology and Medical Education; and Leadership and Entrepreneurship in Management Education.

List of speakers

Industry heads, HR and placement officers from the industry, principals, management representatives, department heads and faculty from higher education institutions and colleges have been invited to attend the event.

Entry will be by invitation only and those interested can register online by accessing the CII website.

Former Education Minister B.K. Chandrashekar; Advisor, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, M.H. Dhananjaya; Vice-Chancellor of JSS University B. Suresh; Vice-Chancellor of University of Mysore G. Hemantha Kumar; Development scholar and founder Chairman of GRAAM R. Balasubramaniam; former Vice-Chancellor of Visvesvaraya Technological University K. Balaveera Reddy; Director of IIIT-B S. Sadagopan; cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon Vivek Jawali; and Co-founder of Prepmyskills Rajnikanth K. are among the speakers at the summit.
