The Maharaja College Centenary Hall in the City reverberated with carols sung by teams from various institutions in the City on Sunday, ushering in the Christmas spirit in Mysuru.

Attired colourfully, the participants representing about 60 teams sang carols in English, Hindi, Kannada and other regional languages as part of the 22nd Annual Carol Singing Competition organised by Carmel Catholic Association of Mysore.

The theme for this year’s competition is “Singing for harmony of creation”, a representative of the Association said. The carol singing competition not only ushers in a festive mood of Christmas in the minds of the people, but also provides an occasion to spread the message of joy and peace.
