Mock allotment to be done today

The nine-day window for ‘option entry’, part of the online seat selection process for admissions to professional courses in the State, drew to a close in Bangalore on Thursday.

A press release from the Karnataka Examinations Authority, which is conducting the admissions process, said that as of July 19, 56,908 candidates had logged in to the process. Of the 57,000 eligible candidates, who were allotted ranks through the Common Entrance Test, 56,290 had entered their option or preference list of colleges. The release added that students can continue to access their accounts and update their preference list till 6 p.m. on July 22.

The option entry stage will be followed by the mock allotment on July 20 where students who have made the online entry will get to know the probable colleges to which they might get admission. On July 21 and 22, the students will be given a chance to change the option entry of the colleges. On July 25, the student will be given the information of exact college to which he or she is admitted.
