Two months after pre-monsoon rains destroyed standing crops in Raichur, Koppal and Ballari districts, a three-member Central Team is scheduled to visit flood-hit areas in these districts for one day.

The team will be headed by B.R. Sinha, Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Cooperation (DAC). The other two members of the team would be Anil Pratap Singh, (DAC) and S.K. Rajendra, Deputy Director, Ministry of Power.

As per the sources, the team is expected to reach Raichur on Monday night. The Deputy Commissioners of Raichur, Koppal and Ballari would make presentations about the floods, resultant crop loss, compensation and other related issues on next morning at Yermarus VIP Guest House. By noon, the team would visit some flood-hit villages in Sindhanur taluk and interact with affected farmers. After visiting Sirguppa, Gangavati and Hosepet in the afternoon, it will leave for Bengaluru on the same day.
