Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday hinted that a Cabinet reshuffle “can take place at any time”.
He was speaking to presspersons at the airport while on his way to Kundargi in Gokak taluk to participate in a function at a mutt.
Mr. Siddaramaiah’s observation comes in the wake of Excise Minister Satish Jarkiholi’s request for change in portfolio.
The grievances of Mr. Jarkiholi and others would be considered at the time of reshuffle, he said.
Taking note of Mr. Jarkiholi’s absence at the airport, the Chief Minister said he was not aware of the exact reason for the former’s absence.
Mr. Siddaramaiah declined to react to the allegations levelled against him by the former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy.
He said, “Mr. Kumaraswamy is sitting in the Opposition. He is expected to justify his role as Leader of an Opposition party instead of spending time spreading lies about me,” the Chief Minister remarked.
