BJP State president B.S. Yeddyurappa has urged Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy to come out with a concrete scheme for permanent rehabilitation of flood victims in Kodagu and other areas of the State.

In a release here on Monday, he promised to get suitable assistance from the Centre too. He announced that all the party legislators and MPs would donate their one month’s salary to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for taking up relief operations in flood-hit areas. Mr. Yeddyurappa has also appealed to the public to contribute liberally.

The party is despatching about 10 tonnes of foodgrains and relief materials to the people in Kodagu from Bengaluru on Tuesday.
