A six-year-old boy died after falling off a bike near Bagur in Channarayapatna taluk on the evening of April 9. Pramod, a resident of Lakkihalli, was travelling on the bike with parents Savithramma and Girish, and his sister Shilpa.
Girish had taken Savithramma, Pramod and Shilpa on his bike to the market at Channarayapatna. While returning home, Girish applied the brakes suddenly to avoid hitting a dog, but caused the pillion riders to fall off the two-wheeler.
Pramod, Shilpa, Savithramma and Girish suffered injuries in the incident. Pramod suffered a serious head injury and died on the spot.
Pramod’s grandmother Jayamma has filed a complaint with the Channarayapatna Rural police.
