Boating festival at Karanji lake

It is part of ‘December to Remember’, a special tourist initiative to attract visitors during the Christmas season

Karanji Lake Nature Park (KLNP), one of the major tourist spots here, will be hosting the Boating Festival as part of ‘December to Remember’, a special tourist festival to attract visitors during the Christmas season, from December 26 to 28.

The boating festival will be inaugurated on December 26 at 11 a.m. by Minister in charge of Mysuru district V. Srinivas Prasad.

Mysore zoo is the caretaker of the park, which has many attractions for visitors, including a walk through the aviary. According to the management, there are about six boats, and 30 people can enjoy the boat ride in one session. The premises will be decked-up to attract tourists.

The boat ride will be offered at a subsidised rate of Rs. 20 for adults and Rs. 10 for children. There will be separate entry ticket to the KLNP which is Rs. 25 for adults and Rs. 15 for children.
