Bhajan contest in Hubballi

As many as 250 troupes from across the State will participate in a bhajan competition organised by Sri Siddharoodha Swamy Mutt Trust on February 1.

President of the trust Basavaraj C. Kalyanshettar and president of the competition committee Shamanand Balappa Poojeri said that it was part of the annual Shivaratri celebrations. Mr. Poojeri said that each troupe should render two poems of Kaivalya literature and should enrol their names by January 25. The first three winners of the contest would get cash prizes of Rs.51,000, Rs. 35,000 and Rs. 25,000 respectively.
