Rashmi V. Halgatti and Rupa Kapadia, who represented Swimmers’ Club, Belagavi, at the State Master’s Aquatic Championship registered an excellent performance and returned home with 3 gold and 4 silver medals in their kitty. Both the swimmers have been selected to the Karnataka team for Master’s National Aquatic Championships to be held at Bhopal next week. The championship events were held at Basavanagudi Aquatic Centre, Bengaluru, on September 26 and 27.
According to a press release issued by Prasad Tendolkar, Chief Coach at Swimmers’ Club, Belagavi, here on Sunday, Dr. Rashimi participated in Group - C (35 to 39 years) and bagged two gold and two silver medals in four events. Dr. Rupa participated in Group - D (40 to 44 years) and won a gold medal and a silver medal.
