BEL pays ₹231.69 crore final dividend to government

Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BEL) on Thursday presented a cheque for the final dividend of ₹231.69 crore to the Government of India.

According to a release, M.V. Gowtama, chairman and managing director, BEL, presented the cheque to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, in New Delhi.

BEL ended the financial year 2018-19 achieving a turnover of ₹11,789.22 crore registering a growth of 16.9% over the previous year. The profit after tax increased by 37.73% over the previous year to ₹1,927.29 crore. Barun Mitra, IAS, ASDP, and Koshy Alexander, Director (Finance) BEL, were present, the release stated.
