‘Be a good reader to become a good leader’

If students want to become good leaders, they should first become good readers, Rajendra Naidu, principal of M.V. Pre­University College said, after releasing The Hindu In School edition here on Friday.

The event took place at Shri Parvathamma Shamnur Shivshankarappa English Medium Residential School (PSSEMR) at Tolahunase village in Davangere taluk. Mr. Naidu said that reading newspapers helped students expand the horizon of their knowledge by giving information on happenings around the world.

G.R. Venkatesh, Circulation General Manager of the The Hindu said that apart from providing news to students, the paper also provides a platform to student to exhibit their talents . .

PSSEMR School Principal Anita opined that The Hindu newspaper was playing a crucial role in improving the reading habits among the present generation.

Circulation Executive Appanna Metri was present.
