Members of the charitable trust ‘Reaching Hand’, who started their 150-km barefoot run to Mysuru in Bengaluru on Thursday, reached the town on Friday afternoon.

Reaching Hand, which has been work with vulnerable children and marginalised women, has organised the B2M (Bengaluru to Mysuru) run to raise funds to construct toilets at government schools.

Members of ‘Bee Ministries Charitable Trust’ of Mandya welcomed the 12-member barefoot runners’ team, drawn mostly from the IT industry in Bengaluru.

“We have organised the B2M to create awareness about girls’ education and sanitation issues through our ‘Girls Glory Project’. We will provide sanitary wear and education to the girls studying in government schools,” the team members told presspersons.

Another aim behind organising the run was to encourage girls to reach their highest educational dreams, they said.

According to them, the team will reach Mysuru on Saturday.
