The five-day jatra will commence on January 13 and the procession of the idol of Mailaralingeshwar in a palanquin will take place on January 14. More than five lakh pilgrims from various parts of the State and Telangana and Andhra Pradesh would be participating in the jatra.

At least six check posts on the routes leading to the temple have been set up and officials of Animal Husbandry, Forest and Police departments have been deployed. There is a prohibition on sale of alcohol within a five-km radius of the temple during the jatra days.
