Hearing in the audiotape case involving alleged bribery registered against Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa and three others, which came before the Kalaburagi Bench of the High Court of Karnataka on Thursday, was adjourned to November 28. This is the fourth time that the case has been adjourned.
The case came up before the judge for the first time on February 20 this year.
The petition has been filed by Sharangouda Patil, son of Gurumitkal MLA Nagangouda Patil Kandakur, against Mr. Yediyurappa, his political advisor M.B. Maramkal and Deodurg MLA Shivanagouda Naik.
Meanwhile, the matter has been adjourned four times — on September 17, September 26, October 25 and today [November 7].
On Thursday, the case came up before Justice Mohammad Nawaz who again adjourned it to November 28.
Senior advocate C.V. Nagesh argued on behalf of Mr. Yediyurappa. While Mr. Sharangouda Patil’s advocate Ravi Varma Kumar remained absent.
