Arrest for abusive Instagram post

A complaint was filed before the Mangaluru East police regarding the post making derogatory comment on Mr. Kumaraswamy.

The Central Crime Branch sleuths on Friday arrested Prashant Poojary (24) of Bantwal for allegedly posting on Instagram an abusive post on Chief Minister H.D.Kumaraswamy.

According to a press release, a complaint was filed before the Mangaluru East police regarding the post making derogatory comment on Mr. Kumaraswamy.

The police said the post was in a way that it was hurting communal sentiments and disturb public order. Poojary was arrested for offence under Section 153 (A) of Indian Penal Code (Promoting enmity between different groups on ground of religion and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony)
