Water scarcity in the coastal belt has now hit the temple town of Dharmasthala with the ‘pattadhikari’ of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala D. Veerendra Heggade appealing to tourists and devotees visiting the Manjunatha temple to postpone their visit.

In a release on Friday he said a huge quantity of water is required for tourists and devotees in the temple town.

As the water level in the Netravathi has been depleting, water scarcity in the town has been escalating day by day. People should cooperate by postponing their visit to the temple, he said.
